The world has a supernatural way of speaking to us and giving us hope. GodSwell was born on the idea of taking these precious moments with his creation and utilizing them for the purpose of self realization and healing.
EMTs, hospital doctors and surgeons who bore witness to John, shared a common assertion that he was in no condition to survive. With failed kidneys and a quarter’s worth of blood left in his body, John survived the unsurvivable. Jean reflects on the moment that she made a promise to God in her and John's book, BLACK WAVE.
"I told God that if he would let us survive this night, I would make it mean something worthwhile. And then, somehow, I felt calmer than I have ever felt. Unreasonably so. Irrationally so. I looked over the scene of our wrecked life and I smiled–a crazy smile for sure–and I looked through the dark at the mad beauty of it."
GodSwell is the fulfillment of the promise Jean made in the midst of the shipwreck.
